Outreach Ministries at St. Ladislas

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another

as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

— 1 Peter 4:10

Ames Hospice Meals

Volunteers from St. Ladislas prepare and serve a meal to the patients, families, and visitors at the Ames Family Hospice Center.

Card Ministry for Our Homebound

Volunteers maintain contact with parishioners who are homebound. Greeting cards are sent on a regular basis for holidays, birthdays, and "thinking of you". The list of people who are homebound is shared with volunteers.

Care for Creation

Care for Creation, as part of the Social Justice Committee, seeks to help our parish family and our wider communities foster respect for God's gracious gift of the created world, and promote good stewardship of our planet.

Evangelization Committee

This committee encourages those in our community to live as Disciples of Jesus through programs, invitations, and prayers.

Prison Ministry

The ministry to the incarcerated is a collaborative response to the Gospel message in Matthew 25: "When I was in prison, you visited me." Called by the Holy Spirit, we extend the hope of reconciling love in our relationships with the offender, the victim, and their families.

Social Justice Committee

Members advocate for increased awareness and implementation of social justice through Catholic Social Teaching and an understanding of the complex social issues facing society and our community.

St. Patrick Meal Volunteers

Caritas Choir

The Caritas Choir offers sing-along programs at assisted living facilities in the area.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Volunteers provide handmade prayer shawls available to anyone who needs comfort during times of stress. The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice that embodies the crafters thoughts and prayers for the receiver. Learn more here.

Respect Life Committee

Members of this ministry plan and coordinate a parish program of peaceful Pro-Life activities.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is an organization of Catholic lay people that strive to live out Jesus' Gospel message of love in their own lives and to personally serve those in need.

A team of volunteers prepare and distribute meals at St. Patrick Church in Cleveland.
