Ames Family Hospice Meal Volunteer
Serves a meal to the clients, families, and visitors at the Ames Family Hospice House.
Bereavement Ministry
Walks with those grieving the loss of a loved one by providing “Growing Through Grief” support groups and individual spiritual grief support. “Hope for the Holidays” is also offered in late fall. Provides assistance with meeting set-up/clean-up. Diocesan bereavement training is also available.
Card Ministry for our Homebound
Maintains contact with parishioners who are homebound. Greeting cards are sent on a regular basis for holidays, birthdays, and "thinking of you".
Evangelization Team
Encourages those in our community to live as Disciples of Jesus through outreach programs, invitations, and prayers. Meets once a month, on the first Monday of the month.
Good Samaritan Volunteer
Provides assistance to those in the community who need help with light duty chores or tasks. Volunteers are made up of high school aged members.
Prayer Shawl Plus
Makes handmade prayer shawls, lap blankets, scarves, and chemo caps for those who need comfort during times of illness, grief, or hardship. This is a spiritual practice that embodies the crafters' prayers for the receiver. Gathers monthly on the second Wednesday.
Prison Ministry
Extends the hope of reconciling love in our relationships with the person, the victim, and their families. Ministry includes in-person visit and/or pen pal activities. The St. Ladislas Prison Ministry exists within the framework and leadership of the Diocesan ministry.
Respect Life Committee
Provides opportunities for increasing parish awareness of Pro-Life issues. Supports the Cleveland-area Life Resource Centers through fundraising activities and volunteer opportunities. Prays for everyone to protect, love, and respect life in all stages.
St. Patrick Meal Volunteer
Prepares and distributes meals at St. Patrick Church in Cleveland. Two teams alternate months on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 3:30 to 7:30 pm. Persons older than 15 are welcome.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The Society “has only one purpose: to sanctify its members in the exercise of charity and to help the poor in their corporal and spiritual needs.” (St. Vincent de Paul) Ministries include: Blood Pressure Ministry, Home Visits, Share-a-Meal, Food Pantry, Food Recovery, and other special projects.
Social Justice Ministry
Advocates for increased awareness and implementation of social justice through Catholic Social Teaching and an understanding of the complex social issues facing society and our community. The ministry also has two workgroups. Care for Creation seeks to foster respect and promotes good stewardship for our planet. The Mental Health subgroup works for justice for people experiencing stigma, invisibility, and marginalization.
