Called to Serve

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which men are ordained to serve the Church as deacons, priests, or bishops. Through this sacrament, a man answers Christ’s call to serve His people through preaching the Word, celebrating the Sacraments, and offering a life of prayerful leadership.

Is God calling you? If you are discerning the priesthood or would like to learn more about this great gift of God, we invite you to begin a conversation. Reach out to our pastor, Father Mark A. Latcovich, or visit the Diocese of Cleveland Vocation Office website.

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. — CCC 1536
