of the sick

Christ's Healing Presence in Times of Illness

The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing, hope, and peace. It offers spiritual strength, comfort, and, if it is God’s will, physical healing to those who are seriously ill, preparing for surgery, facing advanced age, or near the end of life.

Through the prayers of the Church and the anointing with sacred oil, the sick are united more closely to Christ in His suffering and are reminded that they are never alone.

To Request an Anointing
To schedule the Anointing of the Sick for yourself or a loved one, please call the Parish Office.

Twice each year, St. Ladislas offers the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick during one of our regular weekend Masses. All who are in need of healing — physical, emotional, or spiritual — are invited to receive the sacrament in the context of the parish community. Upcoming dates will be announced in the bulletin and parish communications.

By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. and indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ. — CCC 1499
