Families can usher

Youth can serve as ushers

Purpose: The ministers of hospitality, Greeters and Ushers, assist the St Ladislas community at our weekend and special Masses in a variety of ways. Their job is to make those that gather for liturgy feel welcome and comfortable. They also assist by monitoring the communion procession, taking up our offertory collection and distributing programs and bulletins.

Commitment: Our Ushers work in a team of 6-8 volunteers at a particular weekend Mass in one month blocks - usually every other month. The commitment we ask from each usher/greeter is to attend our two-session orientation (and special training as required), be faithful to your published schedule, and find substitutes when unable to be at your assigned Mass.

Preparation: All training is accomplished at St Ladislas. All new Ministers will be asked to attend general meetings with other members of the liturgical team. A separate meeting will also be held to explain the policies and procedures involving this ministry of Ushering. Dates will be immediately set following Service Sunday (January).
